Concerts in the Park: SwingMasters

Join us for our annual summer Concerts in the Park series! Bring your family, blankets and lawn chairs and join us for FREE music all summer long at the Daniel Bishop Memorial Pavilion at Carmichael Park. Picnic baskets are also welcome and water is available for purchase.
The SwingMasters Big Band is an 18-piece band that has been entertaining audiences in the Sacramento area since 1997. They feature an authentic, multi-voiced big band sound which emanates from a library of tunes from the 30’s to the 60’s. Genres include Swing (East & West Coast), Latin (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba), Ballroom (Fox Trot, Tango, Waltz), and Rock featuring great vocals by Rubi Lee and Dr. Chuck Lockhart. SwingMasters leader Tom Smith directs the members that have cumulative musical experience of over 300 hours.
