Join us for our annual summer Concerts in the Park series! Bring your family, blankets and lawn chairs and join us for FREE music all summer long at the Daniel Bishop Memorial Pavilion at Carmichael Park. Food will be available for purchase and picnic baskets are also welcome. Water is available for purchase.
Kick off the series with MUMBO GUMBO! Mumbo Gumbo has been bringing their festive genre-bending Americana sounds to the Western US for nearly 30 years. This 7-piece band is known for its great vocals and rhythmic variety. A festival favorite from CA to Texas, to Vancouver Island, they continue to enrich the musical landscape with their joyous original sounds. New Orleans second line, rhythm & blues, driving rockabilly, hip shaking cumbias, edgy rock ‘n’ roll, Afro-Cuban rhythms; and we have not begun to describe Gumbo’s music. Suffice it to say that their genre-bending Americana will have every body dancing and smiling with Sacramento’s Hall of Fame superband – let the good times roll!
