Baby Ballet & Gymnastics

Baby Ballet and Gymnastics is a parent participation class where children learn gymnastics and dance (movement) through nursery rhymes and fun songs. In Pre-Ballet and Gymnastics class children will have the opportunity to try their hand at the most fun sports of all! Gymnastics is the foundation of all sports and ballet is the foundation of all dance, why not put them together? Children will work on coordination and balance in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

This class will incorporate rhythms and movement from across the globe allowing dancers to explore many cultures. Whether your child dreams of being a dancer or a doctor, a ballerina or a biologist, the foundations of movement will help build self confidence and enhance social and cognitive abilities. Best of all, this high energy class will be jam packed with fun for boys and girls!

Mommy/Daddy & Me Playdate
Fee: $20 (R)/$22 (NR) 4 weeks; $15 (R)/ $17 (NR) 3 weeks

This is a popular non-structured dance playdate that includes toddlers and their parents and/or participating family members/caretakers. We focus on group activities, sing-a-longs, book readings, dances, warm ups and much more. This is a 50 minute session that lets your toddler explore their social, physical and creative abilities while interacting in a group setting. Must be registered with a caregiver.

Preschool Yoga! Little yogis will enjoy this fun filled Kidding Around Yoga Class. Hatha yoga with meditation, sun salutations, stories, games, crafts, in-depth poses and relaxation. Original music by Kidding Around Yoga. Preschoolers will learn techniques to calm themselves. They will also learn better focus, flexibility and self-love.

Outdoor Nature Play Class – NEW!

Classes are focused around the current season and offer a nature themed curriculum all while learning math, science and reading! Music, dance, signing and yoga is also a component of each and every class. The rich curriculum not only provides youngsters with a great sense of our environment it also fosters a community of friendship. As a Project Tree Leader, the award-winning curriculum that is used meets California Education Standards.

Introduction To Guitar-Part 1
Fee: $115 (R)/$126 (NR)6 weeks; $10 materials fee due at first class
Ages: 12 & up
Time: 12PM-12:45PM

This 6-week introductory class will teach students tuning, playing position, musical symbols, notes in first position, rhythms through eighth notes, chords, reading, scales, finger-picking, strumming and simple repertoire. The class is accompanied with a Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1, which comes with a CD including 47 full band tracks for demonstration or play along.

Students must have a guitar (nylon string acoustic guitars are recommended to facilitate the fingerpicking lessons). The Sacramento Guitar Society will offer a loaner guitar, with a refundable security deposit of $100.

Sacramento Junior Tennis Fund Award
CRPD is proud to have been awarded the Junior Tennis Fund of Sacramento’s 2016 grant. The award enables us to provide a limited amount of scholarships for our youth tennis program for qualifying Carmichael residents Scholarships cover 100% of the program fees. Kidz Love Soccer

Introduce your toddler to the world’s most popular sport! As you participate together in our fun age appropriate activities, your child will be developing their large motor skills and socialization skills. Learn dribbling, passing, defense, and shooting goals. Fun skill games are played at every session, and every participant will have a ball at his or her feet. Small-sided soccer matches will be introduced gradually. Perfect for first time players while being fun and engaging for kids with some experience. All participants receive a Kids Love Soccer jersey! Soccer 2: Skillz & Scrimmages

Have a great time while developing core soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting in a team play format. Enjoy a unique family experience in this one of a kind ceramics class. Create your own masterpieces in a relaxing and encouraging environment. We will learn the three different methods of hand building as well as have a chance to try the potter’s wheel. Class fees include parent and child.

Mommy & Me Little Hands Pottery

Have some fun and create a memory to treasure. Decorate a plate with your little one’s handprint and a personalized design. Then your artwork will be clear coated and kiln fired to be picked up at a pre-arranged date.

zzZZAAPP! POWWW! KaBOOOOM! Beware junior scientists: you are headed for a scientific blast! Join us for a hair-raising good time! (Literally) You’ll harness heat energy and explore the properties of sound. You’ll experiment with mysterious magnets, examine strange optical illusions and participate in an eye-popping demonstration of static electricity.

Mad Science Holiday Camp- Frozen Science
Fee: $85 (R)/$93 (NR)
Ages: 6-12 years

It’s the “coolest” science around! Learn the difference between real snow and the stuff in the movies, safely utilize a substance that is -109 degrees Fahrenheit, make non-melting snowballs and learn the similarities between you and a snowflake! Cheese or pepperoni pizza lunch is included. If your child has any allergies please note at time of registration.

Mad Lab

Fantastic Forces & Flight

In these exciting hands-on classes, you will play engineer, chemist and stunt pilot! You’ll be shocked by what you’ll learn about electricity, be blown away by experiments with air pressure, and get swept away in the excitement of working with water waves!
