Carmichael Park

Serving the entire community of Carmichael, Carmichael Park is a 38 acre developed community park located at 5750 Grant Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608, and is the location of the District Office.

Park Hours: Opens at 6:00am- Closes at 10:00pm

District Office is Open by Appointment Only. For in-person customer service, please visit the Recreation Office located at the La Sierra Community Center - 5325 Engle Rd, Suite 100, Carmichael, CA 95608

Amenities & Features:

Great Wall of Carmichael: Created by local artist Hugh Gorman and donated to the park by the Sacramento County. This wall is an artistic rendering of all the things that make our community great!
Dog Park, an off-leash dog park with a small dog and large dog area, the dog park is open from dawn to dark.,

Community Clubhouse & Veteran’s Memorial Building: Available for reservations, these facilities hold community meetings, wedding receptions, workshops, and special events, as well as providing diverse locations for our recreation programs.
Daniel Bishop Memorial Pavilion for the Performing Arts (Bandshell): Hosts our annual Concerts in the Park Series and various events throughout the year!
Raymond & Hazel Nay Memorial Picnic Shelter: Great for company picnics and barbecues and seats up to 80 people. Available for reservation.

Note: While certain tennis, pickleball, and bocce ball courts are designated as first-come, first-served facilities, the District reserves the right to temporarily close or reserve any court due to maintenance, District programs, approved events, tournaments, lessons, league rentals, or other operational needs. Court availability will be reflected on the reservation calendar website and posted on-site whenever feasible.

Disc Golf Course

Visit Carmichael Park and play a round of disc golf! Disc golf is similar to traditional golf, however, instead of using golf clubs and a ball aiming for a hole, players use discs and aim for a basket. The tee is a rectangular concrete pad area and the hole is a chain basket extended from a pole (pictured above). The goal of the game is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws.

Carmichael Dog Park

Carmichael Recreation and Park District welcome leashed dogs in all of its parks. For those owners of well-mannered canines who enjoy a good run or a friendly romp, there’s the additional option for dogs to have free play at the Carmichael Dog Park.
