We are looking for Teens, 13 -15 years old, who are interested in gaining leadership and teamwork skills, and want to have fun playing and leading games for children ages 5-12. Jr Leaders will be mentored by our Recreation Leaders and Camp Directors. While in this program, they will create friendships, build confidence, and gain the necessary skills to become a future Recreation Leader. As part of the program, all Jr. Leaders will receive a Red Cross babysitting Course and Certification.

Program Information

• Process:
  • Register for the session titled "Jr. Leader Application 2026" at the link above.
  • Staff will offer interviews to qualified Jr. Leader Applicants and offer some a spot in the program
  • Those who accept an offer will then be required to pay the program fee.
• Dates: June 15th-August 7th
  • Training Sat 6/13 from 8am to 11am
• Location: La Sierra Community Center (5325 Engle Road)
• Fees: A program fee of $325 (R) | $341 (NR) is required of those who accept an offer to join the program
  • Fees go toward each week's field trip admissions and activities, Jr. Leader Uniform, Red Cross Babysitting Certification, and other program expenses.
